Yirrmal shares insights about his new music, community connections, culture and country in North East Arnhem Land and his experience developing his song writing as a new generation artist.

Yirrmal is preparing to release his first full album later this year and the new singles ‘Dhaliwuy Bay’ and ‘Get Happy’ have just been released.

The album will be the next step in an already impressive career in music, and following from Yirrmal’s 2016 EP Youngblood featuring collaborations with Archie Roach. 

Some of Yirrmal’s other musical mentors over the years have been Yothu Yindi (Yolngu family connections), Shane Howard and Neil Murray (song writing collaborators), and Andrew Farriss (who has produced the new album).
