The election this past weekend saw an unprecedented swing to the Greens and teal independents, who campaigned for action on climate change. More than 80,000 young people registered to vote in the final week of enrolment, potentially voting against major parties, who do not have climate policy or address the needs of youth.

Oscar Byrne was joined by Intifar Chowdhury, an Australian National University associate lecturer in the School of Politics and International Relations, who specialises in youth engagement in politics. They discussed what issues young people advocated for in the election and why the youth vote was so significant to the final result.
