Police Use Facebook Messages in Abortion Arrest
A 17 year old girl and her mother have been arrested by police in Nebraska, who allege that the teen had an abortion using pregnancy termination pill ‘Pregnot’.
After the teenager gave birth to a stillborn baby, police decided to investigate the pregnancy and gained access to private messages from Facebook to prove their case.
As a result of these events, we look into the level to which police can access social media and other potentially private information when investigating these sorts of matters.
