The Raw, The Nakid, The True
- Sharla La is an expressionist artist, who draws from her raw blatant emotions as a companion and inspiration for her artwork. Her work mostly focuses on the feminine body, where she unmasks the imperfection in the perfection of the personified female body through explicit naked imagery of the female figure. The nomadic artist uses her fingers, not brushes to create her art. She brings out her immersive self with paintings, lino print, chalk and ceramics creations to project the intuitive, psychological and emotional self.
Sharla La is exhibiting her work at the TAP Gallery on 1/278 Palmer St, Darlinghurst. This exhibition is a part of the Sydney Fringe Festival.
The artist will talk about her work at 4 pm on the 17th of September 2022 at the TAP Gallery, so feel free to pop in and have a chat with the nomadic artist.
