Gaming Licence Suspended for Sydney’s Star Casino
Casino operator Star Entertainment has had its license to operate a casino in Sydney suspended and been fined $100 million.
From Friday, 9am Australian Eastern Daylight Saving Time, the New South Wales Independent Casino Commission will appoint a manager to oversee the business for the next 90 days.
Allegations of money laundering, fraud and links to criminal organisations were heard at the inquiry into Star Entertainment’s Sydney casino.
