The Australian government has announced a ‘New Cultural Policy” which promises to put Indigenous Australians first by regulating Australian content on streaming services and providing greater funding and support for Indigenous groups in the arts industry. 

The policy comes after six months of consultation with creators and arts workers about the future of the industry.
