Recently, Treasurer Jim Chalmers has outlined his philosophy for a new economic model under the Albanese government. In a 6000-word essay entitled “Capitalism after Crises,”  Dr Chalmers urges businesses to co-invest with the government to deliver ‘value-based capitalism’. A stark contrast to the economic approach of his predecessors, the Treasurer’s visions for the future leaves a lot to question.
