One Year In Ukraine
After one year of fighting the war in Ukraine has no visible end in sight, The Russian casualties are estimated at 180 000 and Ukrainians casualties are at 100 000 military personnel with 30 000 civilians. Cities like Bakhmut, Mariupol and Lyman have been destroyed, Kyiv has been battered by missiles. The Russian have met resistance every step of the way, more often than not the invaders have come up second best and have continually retreated since their first major offensive one year ago.
The Russians are not defeated yet, they have halted the Ukrainian counter offensive and the front lines have held throughout winter. The Russians have now asked China for more firepower. Whether the Russians receive financial aid and arms is still up for debate.
