China and Germany’s Relationship Enter a New Phase
After Trumps decision to pull America out of the Paris Accords, America has been slowly distancing themselves from other countries. This has resulted in China and Germany taking over America’s place as the new world superpowers. China’s President Xi wrote an article which was titled “To Make the World a Better Place” published in a German newspaper announcing this new alliance. However, China and Germany’s new relationship is at a cost. Germany wants equal access to China’s markets and China wants Germany to push the EU in a quick resolution of negotiations on China’s status in the World Trade Organization. 2ser was joined by Dr Christian Downie from the Australian National University.
