Brett Weymark Returns: Verdi’s ‘Requiem’

First performed in 1874 and written to honour his late contemporary Alessandro Manzoni. Verdi’s Requiem is one of the most popular and recognisable choral works in history. Now Verdi’s Requiem comes to Sydney on the 20th May, performed by the Sydney Philharmonia Choirs, featuring world class soloists including Maija Kovalevska, Diego Torre, Deborah Humble, and David Greco. Of course, a choir needs a conductor, and who better than Brett Weymark, Artistic and Musical director of the Sydney Philharmonia Choir. Brett joined us to talk all things Verdi.
