Young workers are falling to their deaths or serious injury from roofs and scaffolding in alarming numbers in NSW.

Judge David Russell of the NSW District Court was moved to request that SafeWork NSW send a report to State Government on the ‘carnage’.

Time and time again, courts have heard that site safety meetings are being bypassed, safety measures are not communicated or implemented and those less experienced are paying with their lives as a result.

Blurred lines of responsibility from subcontracting and agency work is adding to the confusion.
