Why Defunding Trove leaves Australia Poorer

Recently announced efficiency dividends have caused a stir within the National Library of Australia’s Trove service, with many aspects of the Trove being terminated as a result.

As the trove is responsible for several important services including the aggregation of metadata and a growing repository of full text digital resources, will its ability to preserve information be harmed?
