Meet the new $5 note

Australia’s new $5 banknote was released last week, according to the reserve bank of Australia, the new note has a range of security features that will prevent counterfeiting, while providing tactile marking, which aims to assist those who are visually impaired. The $5 banknote is the first in a string of bills that are expected to replace current notes, over the coming years. We were joined by Michael Andersen, Head of Note Issue at the Reserve Bank of Australia, to find out how these changes will affect Australians.
