After discussing Pop Crimes, Mick Harvey walks us through Rowland’s career, starting from The Obsessions then The Young Charlatans, joining The Boys Next Door who turn into The Birthday Party, Crime and the City Solution, the collaboration between members of The Go Betweens and The Birthday Party dubbed Tuff Monks, The Birthday Party’s collaboration with Lydia Lunch which created the Honeymoon in Red album and finishing with some final thoughts on Rowland’s solo efforts Teenage Snuff Film and more on Pop Crimes.

Plenty of fascinating insights throughout, Rowland’s influences, the Melbourne music scene of the 70s and 80s, Mick’s theory on how Rowland developed his guitar sound and Rowland’s songwriting output.
