Orion by Dina Ögon

The Feature Album this week on 2SER is Orion by Swedish quartet Dina Ögon. 

 

Dina Ögon translates from Swedish as “Your Eyes”, and they’re a group that have been quietly honing their distinct take on soul and tropicalia for many years now, their third record is a beautifully conceived collection of hazy, dreamlike modern soul with a strong influence of Brazilian disco. It locks into a highly textured, laid-back groove and rides to the stars and back – a definite winner for repeated listens, particularly if you have a love of vintage recording aesthetics.
