Album: Tiger’s Blood Waxahatchee
Tiger’s Blood is the sixth studio album from Alabaman singer-songwriter Katie Crutchfield under the pseudonym Waxahatchee. A far cry from the fiery indie-rock of her 20s, now in her 30s Waxahatchee’s music has mellowed into deeply personal indie-Americana – following the themes of her fifth album which was released in 2020. Tiger Blood is a beautiful slice of Americana, featuring 12 deeply personal songs that a lyrical and favouring acoustic sounds, backed up by just enough synth.
