Sydney Writers’ Festival 2024 – Winnie Dunn on 2SER Breakfast
Winnie Dunn is a Tongan-Australian writer and editor from Mount Druitt.
She’s also the General Manager of Sweatshop Literacy Movement, based in Western Sydney which is devoted to empowering culturally and linguistically diverse communities through reading, writing and critical thinking.
Winnie Dunn’s debut novel Dirt Poor Islanders explores the brutal fractures one feels when growing up between two cultures. Winnie will be sharing her latest body of work at multiple events as part of the upcoming Sydney Writers’ Festival. Winnie joined 2SER Breakfast to chat about her work.
