Traditional Owners fear Labor’s proposed changes to water trigger laws
The Federal Government is considering changing its water trigger legislation.
The changes could see the government passing on its responsibility to approve mining operations impacting water sources onto state and territory governments.
Traditional Owners from the Beetaloo Basin are concerned about the changes, and believe the NT government is more likely to approve fracking operations than the Federal government.
