Within the rise of our technologically deterministic world, its not only tech that’s growing, but also all the massive pile of e-waste that we’re leaving behind. But while so many old electronics are being thrown out, some communities are finding new purposes for old devices that seldom see use anymore. Is it nostalgia that is helping to save some of these items, or is this problem only going to get worse?

On Friday Drive to discuss the matter, we were joined by Adrian Saunders, one of the co-founders of Whirl Recycling, a free pick-up service who specialises in salvaging the community’s unwanted electronics before they end up in landfill, giving them a new home and purpose.
