More jobs needed on country to close unemployment gap for Indigenous Australians
An Indigenous recruitment specialist says creating more jobs for First Nations Australians on country is key to improving employment rates.
In March of 2024, the national unemployment rate for Indigenous Australians was 12 percent, compared to three-point-nine percent for non indigenous people.
First Nations peoples are further underrepresented on boards and in senior executive roles.
