The Aurora: Why does it happen, and how are its gorgeous colours created?
Recently, a spectacular display of the aurora was seen around the world, known as the Aurora Borealis in the Northern Hemisphere, and here in south, the Aurora Australis.
If you were privileged enough to bear witness these shifting fantastical sight of colours projected across the dawn sky last weekend, you might be wondering what causes this solar event event, and how are those colours created?
