National Tree Day: Australia’s native tree logging

We have heard today how planting more trees can help individuals as well as communities, but here in Australia, a country with a vast area of forests, how is the struggle going between native tree logging and civil protest to save the trees.

Environmental as Anything is a podcast and community radio show where this struggle is discussed and the importance of our native forests is stressed.

Recent government actions have varied, with some areas imposing restrictions while others continue to permit logging, creating a complex and evolving situation.

I spoke with producer and presenter of Environmental as Anything, Sean O’Shannassy, about the current state of native forest logging in Australia.
