Can MDMA Treat PTSD?
America’s FDA have recently agreed to new large scale trials for ecstasy, otherwise known as MDMA, as a treatment for patients with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. Attempts to start a trial on a smaller scale in Australia to treat war veterans however has been blocked. What does the trial involve? Why has it been blocked in Australia? Dr Stephen Bright, a clinically trained psychologist from the School of Psychology at Curtin University joined us on The Daily to discuss these questions.
