Spirit Houses: A part of daily life in SouthEast Asia

If you travel through SouthEast Asia, you would notice many shrines at the side of the roads, usually beside shops and houses. These are spirit houses that are offered with flowers, fresh fruits, incense and more. 

In many Southeast Asian countries, these Spirit Houses and their offerings are part of daily life. Artist James Nguyen, lecturer at Monash University, is here to enlighten us about the background of this practice.
