Armlock’s Simon Lam and his band’s new album, Seashell Angel Lucky Charm.
Armlock are a duo from Naarm/Melbourne who consist of Simon Lam and Hamish Mitchell. The music is a lighter-than-air mix of electronica and traditional indie pop elements, and incorporates their experience with electronic music and its’ construction methods (such as sampling) over the last decade or so, and incorporates that experience with an indie pop lens with guitar, drums and the like. Their brand of pop breeziness was showcased at the Lansdowne Hotel on the 30th August 2024, and Simon was on Drive to tell us more about themselves, their music and their latest record, Seashell Angel Lucky Charm.
