Strangled by bureaucracy, Sydney’s nightlife struggles to compete with Melbourne and other major cities, but new and proposed measures by the NSW government are set to give it a much-needed boost.

The government have introduced measures designed to improve the night-time economy including allowing patrons to drink on the streets and limiting the ability to lodge noise complaints.
