What do Rick Astley’s Never Gonna Give You Up, the theme song for 90s television show Seinfeld and Oasis hit Wonderwall have in common? They’ve all been used in a unique internet music genre known as Soundclown. Known as the ‘weird part’ of music website Soundcloud, Soundclown comes from a music tradition established in the 1950s, and has evolved long beyond that, being associated with memes and lol random humour.
