The Georgie Collective – Womxn Are Worth Celebrating

Matilda Coy is the founder of The Georgie Collective –  a womxn-only community that exists outside patriarchal systems. Their brand ethos is to Engage. Educate. Entertain. Empower and their focus is to combat lonliness and support mental health through real, meaningful connections.

Named after Matilda’s best friend Georgie, who passed away in 2017 after a battle with depression, The Georgie Collective honors her legacy by creating a supportive environment for womxn to truly and safely be themselves whilst also being a space for womxn to connect, share and grow.

Nelson Scott of The Daily sits down with Matilda to discuss the background of The Collective, who are invovlved, what people may gain from being part of this community and this Thursday’s event which will be held at Woollahra Gallery at Redleaf 6:30-8pm.
