Writing and literary culture is something we hold near and dear to us here at 2SER; we’ve got several shows dedicated all things literary and artistic. But poetry can be something that might occasionally be overlooked by most people; and just what is slam poetry exactly? Here to help us understand the artistry in a more meaningful way is the 2024 winner of the Australian Poetry Slam, Jo Giles. Jo was on the Drive ahead of appearing at some international writers’ festivals to tell us more about her story and slam poetry more generally.
