The Wild World of Rogaining
Producer Ollie had the pleasure of attending a rogaining event in a national park near the ACT. Things didn’t quite go to plan…
Created in Australia in the 1970s and now played all over the world, rogaining is a long distance cross-country navigation sport, where teams use a map and compass to find different checkpoints scattered around a wilderness or urban area. Each checkpoint is worth a different amount of points, and the team that gets the most points by the end, wins.
Ollie talks with champion rogainer Tristan White about the quirky sport and the community of people who love it. You can find more about the Sydney Summer Series here.
