Protecting Australian veterans – through a brain bank

Exposure to weapons blast is now linked to long-term damage in the brain. The Australian Veterans Brain Bank will go deeper into persistent mild traumatic brain injury to find out how that happens.
A co-relation has been identified between increased suicide rates following traumatic brain injury or concussion at a young age.
The brain bank is calling for brain donations within ethical protocols to aid in future investigations into the co-relation.
