What is Thunderstorm Asthma and how important is it
As the hot weather picks up so does the rise of pollens in the atmosphere brought on by the occasional thunderstorms that break the rising heat. But it brings with it the problem of ‘thunderstorm asthma’ and so bad news for those with allergies.
But Kira Hughes, PhD Candidate in Allergy and Asthma at the School of Life and Environmental Sciences in Deakin University points it to the heating of the climate triggering weather events.
