Tomorrow There Will Be Sun

The Hope Prize is a literary award that recognises stories of human strength and resilience from all around the world. Over 1400 submissions were entered this year for the chance to be included in anthology (Tomorrow There Will Be Sun) comprised of 20 of the best shortlisted stories.

Amongst these Prize finalists is Vietnamese-American author, An Ngo Lang.

After immigrating to America following the fall of Saigon in 1975, An has sought to bring awareness and honour to veterans and displaced people, through her writing and advocation. Her work, The Best Pieces Not From Me is one of her many exemplary pieces that explores how hope is carried on through generations.

In this interview, An discusses the nuances of her work as well as shares her story of immigration.

Special Thanks to Simon & Schuster for making this interview possible, as well as inspiring hope by partnering with The Hope Prize. All royalties from the anthology will support Beyond Blue.
