Ngura Ninti project to harness First Nations perspectives on Australian history

A four-volume documentary will explore Australian history from the perspectives of First Nations people and communities, in a million-dollar joint project between La Trobe University and the University of Melbourne.

Ngura Ninti, meaning “knowing home”, is the first project of its kind aims to change the way Australians understand the history of their land.

The documentary will compile a series of relevant documents provided and evaluated by several Aboriginal Australian communities throughout the country.
