The rise of Reddam House
The HSC ATARS came out the end of last week, putting a lot of unsettled minds at rest. Not only did students receive their ranks, but schools and colleges did too. Reddam House, in particular, jumped into the 8th spot last week. Placing it as the only non-selective school in NSW to be ranked within the top 10. Reddam House is a private school located in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs, and has become one of the top performing schools in such a short amount of time since establishment – 16 years ago. Students and teachers describe their learning approach as ‘collaboration over competition,’ as they encourage students to share and work together.
We spoke to Eryk Bagshaw, a reporter from FairFax Media, to find out just how this happened.
