Following on from Tik Tok, Deepseek is the latest Chinese tech software to be banned by the Australian Government.

It was billed as better than Chat GPT, cheaper to make, and it led to a halving of the share price of the US giant NVIDIA company.

Many were touting the open source of the LLG as a leg up for other developers, but now we are told that it is in fact able to funnel information through to the Chinese government, and as a result the Government has banned Deepseek from Government departments
