Work/life balance and employee well-being
It seems we don’t turn off from work as much as we should. Research says that “as many as three in five Australians check work emails while on holiday”. In France, the government has reacted to this trend by introducing what the media is calling the “right to disconnect” laws – meaning that companies with more than 50 employees must outline hours of the day where work e-mails should neither be sent nor received.
To explore this issue in further detail, Professor Marian Baird from the University of Sydney Business School spoke with Adrian Walton.
