Women’s NSW RL League Launch
The women’s AFL launched with crowds so big that they couldn’t all fit into the stadium. This week the NSW RL launches the first games of Tarsha Gale Nines – a competition set up to establish Women’s NRL at a state level. The first round of Nines will be played this Saturday with teams including the Canberra Raiders, South Sydney Rabbitohs and Sydney Indigenous Academy, among others. Presenter Sam Baran spoke to Yvette Downey, Head of Competitions for NSW RL, to learn more about it.
