Blood Test to Discover the Age of Women’s Eggs
Determining the age of women’s eggs for treatments such as IVF or even just natural birth is now possible through new fertility advancements.
This is made possible through an Anti-Mullerian Hormone (AMH) test. The issue is, the quality of the eggs cannot be determined.
2ser’s Tahnie Cristini spoke to fertility specialist Dr Andrew Kan who mentions the target for the AMH test, the importance of the test and describes how it works.
Priorities may shift once obtaining results from the blood test, which is a current and apparent issue for those possibly in the peak of their career, discussed with litigation solicitor Sharon Tam.
This may not be the best test for finding the age of women’s eggs however, it is the easiest, non-operational and much less invasive way.
