The Newtopian Dream: Where will the money go?
Newtown Neighbourhood Centre held their Newtopian Dream sleep-out last night where 60 Inner West locals braved the cold Sydney weather to raise funds and awareness for the city’s growing homelessness problem.
Breakfast’s own Nic Healey was among the 60 people who camped out, and we crossed live to him as he spoke to other campers about the issue and what we can do to help solve it.
Mischa Gwaspari is team leader at NNC’s boarding house outreach, and he spoke to Nic about how the funds raised ($70,000 and counting) will be used to help further the NNC’s work in boarding housing, advocacy and community strengthening.
