North Korea Nuclear Test
Just days after North Korea fired a missile which flew over Japan, the hermit kingdom conducted their biggest nuclear test to date, claiming it to be an Advanced Hydrogen bomb. North Korea claimed the test to be successful after the bomb caused a magnitude reading of 6.3. The test drew international condemnation, with President Donald Trump labelling it hostile and dangerous, and Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull calling for China to lay further economic pressure on the region. Myles Houlbrook-Walk spoke to Professor Peter Hayes, Executive Director of the Nautilus Institute to discuss the escalating possibility of conflict.
