Why Is The Sea Salty?
Its getting to that time of year again, where the weather is warming up and the masses are flocking to the beach. However, one thing I’m sure we all hate about the beach, is ending up with a mouth full of salty water. But have you ever wondered – why exactly is the sea salty? Joining us on the line to give us a scientific explanation of this was Dr Helen Phillips, Senior Research Fellow in Physical Oceanography at the Institute for Marine and Antarctic studies at the University of Tasmania.
