Artists often struggle to generate a steady income in contemporary Australia. Recent studies suggest this income is decreasing, declining by 4% between 2008 and 2015. Artists also find themselves forced to generate income through a variety of sources, such as jobs on the side. So is it possible to make a living as an artist?
