How has the Dingo Fence impacted the local desert ecosystem?
For over 120 years, a fence almost twice the size of the United States-Mexico Border has stood running through South Australia, New South Wales, The Northern Territory and Queensland. The fence, commonly referred to as the ‘Dingo Fence’, was erected with farmer’s interests in mind, to protect their livestock from harm from wild Australian animals. But what impact has this structure had on the ecosystem it has sought to control?
