Sustainable Travel: What is it?
Air travel is one of the more environmentally damaging activities we can undertake. Globally, the aviation industry is responsible for roughly 2% of carbon dioxide emissions. And with more than 59 million Australian passengers on domestic flights and 39 million on international in the past year, these figures are only due to increase.
Air travel worldwide is growing at more than 6 per cent a year, outpacing the efficiency measures to reduce carbon emissions.
