Is a Unified Korea really possible?
The news that North and South Korea would be fielding a joint ice hockey team at the Winter Olympics surprised many commentating and political wonks. It marks an impressive boost to talks between the two countries — the first for some time. The pair will even march together under the Korean Unification Flag, the first time this has happened since the 1990s.
But does it have deeper socio-political ramifications? Dr Bronwen Dalton from UTS is a long-time observer of Korean politics and she spoke to Nic about what these talks really say.
