Electric Cars Slow On The Uptake
With the declining availability and efficacy of fossil fuels as a source of power, we have never been more aware than we are now of the need for large scale changes to the ways that we move around the world. Electric cars have long been seen as the obvious solution to mitigating the immense carbon emissions released from our petrol powered vehicles.
But, so far here in Australia, uptake has been extremely slow to say the least, with 0.1 percent of cars on the road being battery powered compared to 25% in Norway and similar figures throughout Europe and Asia. But why are we not embracing the electric car?
