Putting an End to Endo: Endometriosis Awareness Month
This March is Endometriosis Awareness Month, and on the 24th of March people all over the world will be taking part in EndoMarch events to raise awareness and funds for the disease.
With approximately 176 million women all over the world impacted by endometriosis, the Australian government has recently promised to allocate $2.5 million to endometriosis research. We talked to Dr Mike Armour, Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the National Institute Of Complementary Medicine, about the difficulties in diagnosing the chronic condition, the range of proven and unproven treatments available, and the taboo surrounding endometriosis.
