New Music with Steph Liong
We started our week with a Greek producer called “Moderator”, based in Athens, releasing a new album, Sinners Syndrome. The new album is quite fluid as he has combined genres such as dubstep, country and triphop.
Laura Veirs is back with her 10th solo album. The album makes use of elements such as string picking and billowing vocals giving it a folk pop vibe. Veeres’ album features other artists such as Sufjan Stevens, Jim James, Karl Blau and Steve and Eli Moore.
Our final artist is a new act, the Swiss band, Orchestre Tout Puissant Marcel Duchamp – or for all non-French speakers, the Almighty Orchestra of Marcel Duchamp! These up-and-comers have just released a new album, “Sauvage Formes” which fuses a myriad of styles, from classical to Afro-jazz. Have a listen to “Lost and Found”, and move through the heavenly gospel harmonies that are home to this fun, eclectic new album.
