Light Rail Delays in Sydney’s CBD
We all know that light rail is coming to Sydney’s CBD, but all that noisy construction looks likely to drag out until 2020, with some sections where progress has ground to a halt. Last, week it was discovered that the project is running a year behind schedule, and costs could blow out beyond $2 billion dollars.
Jess chatted to Greens MP and Transport Spokesperson Mehreen Faruqi about the messy dispute between the NSW Government and the light-rail subcontractor Acciona, calling for greater transparency and an end to privatisation of public services.
